Rebecca Southers

Empress
(aka Chair)

Rebecca is a Web Content Manager at Enforme Interactive. She is a graduate of Frederick’s Hood College, and is a learning addict. She has studied everything from public education to fundraising to massage therapy – none of which have resulted in further degrees. She enjoys organizing deviant shenanigans like community wide snowball fights and superhero themed pub crawls. As one of the founding donors of the Frederick Giving Project, Rebecca loves providing motivation and structure so that people can feel inspired to follow through on their vision of community – no matter how “unique” that vision may be.

Melissa Sines

Organizer Extraordinaire
(aka Vice Chair)

Melissa works with Maryland Nonprofits as their Standards for Excellence certification manager and is also an Associate Consultant at D4 Consulting & Training, an independent nonprofit consulting firm in the DC area. Melissa is a graduate of Hood College, Frederick, MD, and the University of Baltimore. She serves on the Celebrate Frederick In the Street Committee and the Leadership Frederick County Leaders on Loan Advisory Committee. As one of the Giving Project's Co-Founders and a self-professed nonprofit nerd, Melissa is most happy when organizing people and projects to make good things happen.

Kristina Bostick

Wizard of Grants
(aka Grants Manager)

Kristina is a Conservation Associate with Montgomery Countryside Alliance, a little nonprofit just over the Montgomery County line that protects and promotes the Agricultural Reserve, 93,000 acres of farms and parkland that provide clean air, clean water, and local food to our region. Kristina recently moved to Frederick from Greensboro, North Carolina where she earned a Biology and Environmental Studies degree from Guilford College and an MPA from UNC-Greensboro. Being new to the area, Kristina is thrilled to be part of Frederick Giving Project and work on her favorite thing: matching great ideas with the resources to make them a reality in our community.

Erin Allen

The Great Grantini
(aka Grants Co-Chair)

Erin is a school counselor from San Diego, CA. She has a BA in psychology and an MA in counseling; both received from the University of San Diego. Erin’s counseling background is with teenagers with behavioral and emotional disorders. She recently moved to Frederick, MD with her husband and dog. Erin is very excited to explore the east coast and all it has to offer. In addition to volunteering, Erin loves cooking, yoga, horse back riding, and hiking.

Kluane LaBelle

Protector of the Archives

Kluane currently works as a Human Resources Assistant for LAC, a company that recruits and employs librarians, archivists, and other information professionals. Kluane holds an MLIS from The University of Maryland's College of Information Science, a BA in Fine Art from Vermont College, and would go to school forever if she could. Kluane's job titles have ranged from Jeweler to Preschool Teacher to Archivist, and she has lived in several states on the East coast. Now calling Frederick home, Kluane is proud to be a member of the community, helping to raise funds and awareness for various non-profits and causes, including the National MS Society and Cakes for Cause, and is very excited to be a part of The Frederick Giving Project.

Lauren Small

Super Woman
(aka Service Projects Manager)

Lauren is a Registered Nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital, where she works as both a Senior Clinical Applications Analyst in the Information Services department and as a Pediatric nurse. She received her Bachelors in Nursing from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore and also holds a degree in Business Management. Lauren has been a resident of Frederick County for 12 years. She a new found love of making pottery and also enjoys vegan cooking/baking. She loves to combine her love of music and her love of travel by traveling around the country to music festivals. Her philosophy on life can be summed up with this quote by the Dalai Lama: "If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."

Kim Roberts

Webinista

Kim has been a downtown Frederick resident for almost 20 years and has owned and operated Down to Earth Design, LLC, a graphic and web design studio specializing in non-profit marketing for the past 7. Kim has a BBA. from James Madison University. She comes to the Frederick Giving Project after a 2 year term on the Frederick County Sustainability Commission. In her free time, you will find Kim volunteering, kayaking, backpacking, cycling, traveling the world, or just hanging with her hubby Frank and kitty Spooky. "My bucket list is long and time is short", says Kim.

Goodloe is an intrepid adventurer of great renown, recruited by the Giving Project to helm its sled dog team on a solo expedition to take samples of lifeforms beneath the arctic sheet.
